Over the weekend, CB and I ended up emailing about the Lamar Odom situation – he was sent down the “D league” – the NBA Developmental League. This was after he took some time off because of – his excuse – “family reasons.” Anyway, CB and I were trying to figure out what this meant, and considering we don’t really know anything about sports, it was like the blind leading the blind. Her dad tried to explain it to her, and then she tried to explain it to me – it was a mess. From what I understand, Lamar was temporarily dropped from the Dallas Mavericks, but he was still receiving his salary ($8.9 million a year), and he has the support of Mavericks owner Mark Cuban, who has stressed in interviews that Lamar “is doing great. D-League is rehab. [He] needs to get in great shape and then rejoin the Mavs… Things are going great. He is working super hard. All is good.” As it turns out, this D-league demotion really was a temp thing – he was only dropped for one day, one game, on Friday. Then he was back with the Mavs on Saturday, when they won against the Utah Jazz. Still, it must be embarrassing for Lamar – he was considered one of the best NBA players when he was with the Lakers, and now he’s getting sent, however temporarily, to the D-league? Rough.
Plus, Lamar actually does have some family drama. His dad’s health isn’t great, there are rumors that he and Khloe kind of hate it in Dallas, and Khloe is still struggling to get pregnant after more than two years of marriage. Life & Style reports this week that all of the drama is taking its toll on their marriage:
Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have hit a very rough patch in their marriage. The reality TV star is reportedly “not happy” in Dallas and their relationship is in “crisis.”
“The situation in Dallas is not good,” a friend tells Life & Style. “He is not happy and Khloe isn’t either.”
The biggest stresses in their marriage have been their failed attempts to have ababy and Lamar’s trade from the Lakers to the Mavericks. Recently, Lamar was absent from several games to deal with a family issue.
Meanwhile, Khloe has also been very jealous that Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian are getting so much closer.
“Khloe is sad an jealous to see Kourtney and Kim getting so close,” a source adds. “She misses her family and friends terribly.”
Although these two have hit a major low in their marriage, a friend says these two “love each other” and will do everything they can to “make things better.”

After all of the drama and insults and famewhoring, at the end of the day, I do kind of love Khloe. I can’t help it! Don’t yell at me. I want Lamar and Khloe to work through their stuff and come out stronger. And yes, I want her to have a baby. That’s what she wants, and that’s what Lamar wants too. Sometimes you just have a bad year, and sometimes it’s just a bad streak that can turn around just as quickly as it began. I really am hoping that Khloe and Lamar are just fine.
